Sellers Expectations in Today's Market

Hello Everybody, Michael Cosburn here with Homelife Benchmark Realty out of the Brookswood office in Langley. 

 

Today, I want to talk about sellers and their expectations.

 

Real Estate is very emotional on both sides of the spectrum. Sso we have to learn how to manage our expectations…

 

So what is important now, in this balanced market is that sellers are going to have to do the prep work!

 

What does that mean? Well, that could mean decluttering or getting your carpets shampooed, having the yard cleaned up so the property has nice curb appeal and so many other things!  

 

Gone are the days when you could just list your property and have the buyer take care of those things because the market was so hot, buyers were willing to do anything. 

 

So, where does that leave you, the seller? 

 

Well, if you're listing with me, we will have a consultation at the beginning, where we’ll get ideas and strategize on what works for you and how I’m going to service this property to make sure it sells! 

 

Ideally, we’ll be working together and collaborating to make everyone happy and get the job done effectively. I’d like to get your home sold for the most amount of money for what it’s worth here in this market. 

 

We can no longer look a few years back where people were lined up, willing to throw crazy money at these properties! 

 

Will those days come back? Probably. Anytime soon however? Probably not. Only time will tell with the rates being relatively high which is likely to stay this way for the next 6 months or so.
